VidCon 2015 officially kicked off today, with appearances by YouTube’s biggest stars, including iJustine, Lindsey Stirling, Colleen Ballinger (Miranda Sings) and Rhett & Link. Here are some of the highlights:
Today saw the premiere of the teaser trailer for Grace Helbig and Hannah Hart’s Electra Woman and Dyna Girl, in which the popular YouTubers play superheroes who move from Ohio to Hollywood to try to make a name for themselves. It is produced by Legendary Digital Media and Fullscreen and directed by music video director Chris Marrs Piliero.

Vine star King Bach aka Andrew Bachelor shared his Vine secrets on “Six Seconds to Awesome” and answered questions on “Ask King Bach.” Bachelor currently stars on Adult Swim show Black Jesus and has appeared on The Mindy Project and House of Lies.
Katie Couric brought old-media prestige to the VidCon stage when she interviewed Ze Frank, President of Buzzfeed Motion Pictures. Couric is currently Yahoo’s Global News Anchor and Buzzfeed opened its Motion Picture division in 2014, with an eye to make everything from six-second videos to long-form episodic series to feature-length films.
