Christoph Waltz is set to join Daniel Craig in BOND 24. The sequel brings back together Craig, Ben Whishaw, Ralph Fiennes, and Naomi Harris, as well as Skyfall director Sam Mendes. Chiwetel Ejiofor has been in talks to join the project as the villain but it’s starting to sound like that’s the role Waltz would embody. The plot details are being kept under wraps but Jez Butterworth has recently signed on to pen the script, which has been worked on by John Logan, Neal Purvis, and Robert Wade.
Waltz has been acting for years but his career really exploded when he played the evil Colonel Hans Landa in Quentin Tarantino’s Inglourious Basterds before going on to starring in Water for Elephants, Django Unchained, and Terry Gilliam’s The Zero Theorem. His upcoming projects include the comedy Horrible Bosses 2, Justin Chadwick’s romantic drama Tulip Fever, and the Tim Burton drama Big Eyes.
Waltz is repped by ICM and Players Agentur Management.
