We Do It Together (WDIT) has set TOGETHER NOW as its first feature film with Freida Pinto and Juliette Binoche attached to star. The project is comprised of seven segments, each directed by and starring a woman, built around the theme of female empowerment and taking place in different countries.
Robin Wright, Catherine Hardwicke, Katia Lund, Patricia Riggen, Haifaa Al Mansour, Malgorzata Szumowska, and Melina Matsoukas are each set to direct one of the segments. Lund’s story will be shot in either India or Brazil and will star Pinto.
Carol Polakeff, Shelby Stone, and Chiara Tilesi are set to produce with production to begin in July. WDIT is a non-profit production company with the goal to empower woman in front of and behind the camera, and close the gender gap in the industry. Profits from the film will be reinvested in the company.
The group also added new advisory board members, including Robin Wright, Jodie Foster, Diane Warren, Valeria Golino, Leonor Varela, Victoria Alonso, Keri Selig, Lucas Akoskin, Paula Vaccaro, Cameron Mitchell, and Orly Ravid.
