Weekend Box Office (02.18.13) — It’s “A Good Day To Die” If You’re An “Identity Thief” Looking For “Safe Haven”

The 5th Die Hard film debuts in the top slot, which knocked “Identity Theif” down a peg. None of which is surprising, it’s still less money than the 4th Die Hard but it’s not doing to shabby so far. “Safe Haven” also debuted to a middle third place, which probably caught some of the slack of people who don’t want action or broad comedy. “Escape From Earth” debuted in 4th, which isn’t so great for an animated movie, but it could be worse. And “Warm Bodies” is still hanging in there. “Beautiful Creatures” debuted in 6th but apparently failed to gather up the Twihards waiting for more of the same, perhaps it’ll catch on next weekend.
