Weekend Box Office (03.25.13) — “The Croods” Cause “Olympus To Fall” and “Oz” To Feel Not So Great And Powerful

0

“The Croods” debuts to the top slot with a not too shabby 44 million. It’s an animation movie so it’s no surprise it would clean up. “Olympus” (one of two ‘Die-Hard in a White House’ projects) started off decent as well, but nothing to write home about. It’s done better than most any other action movie thus far this year. “Oz” dipped from first to third, but it’s still making that dinero for Disney. “The Call also dropped two slots, but is still somehow hanging in there. “Admission” debuted to a disappointing (almost) six and a half million.

#1 THE CROODS Weekend = $44.7 Million Total = $44.7 Million
#2 OLYMPUS HAS FALLEN Weekend = $30.5 Million Total = $30.5 Million
#3 OZ: THE GREAT AND POWERFUL Weekend = $22 Million Total = $177.5 Million
#4 THE CALL Weekend = $8.7 Million Total = $30.9 Million
#5 ADMISSION Weekend = $6.4 Million Total = $6.4 Million
