Wes Bentley is in talks to join Christopher Nolan’s INTERSTELLAR, which (in vague terms) follows a group of explorers as they enter a wormhole and end up in another dimension. The cast already boasts Matthew McConaughey, Michael Caine, Anne Hathaway, Jessica Chastain, Bill Irwin, Casey Affleck, John Lithgow and possibly Topher Grace.
Most people say the Nolan brothers (Christopher and Jonathan) wrote the script together. This isn’t exactly true. Jonathan Nolan wrote the original script for Stephen Spielberg who was long attached to direct. When that fell through, Christopher Nolan resurrected the project and added his own ideas to the script. In short, he Inception-ed his bro’s project.
Bentley is, no doubt, best known to the myopically inclined as ‘The Dude With That Sweet Beard’ in “The Hunger Games” movie-verse. But I recall him as a young, plastic bag enthusiast in “American Beauty.” He’ll be seen next in “Lovelace.”
