Wes Chatham has joined the cast of “Mockingjay,” the two-part finale to the Hunger Games movies. Unless someone pulls a JK Rowling and decides to explore the franchise universe further. Only money will tell. The cast already includes Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Sam Claflin, Natalie Dormer, Stef Dawson, Evan Ross, Julianne Moore, Lily Rabe and Patina Miller.
The plot is still being kept under wraps but it will definitely focus on Katniss (Lawrence) leading a revolution against the Capital. Chatham will play Castor, a cameraman that works under Cressida (Dormer).
Danny Strong (“Lee Daniels’ The Butler”) wrote the script that returning director Francis Lawrence will helm. Producing will be Nina Jacobson.
Chatham was last in “The Help” and “The Philly Kid.” He’ll appear next in “This Thing with Sarah” and the remake of “The Town That Dreaded Sundown.”
He is repped by Gersh.
