Will Ferrell and Jack Black are eyeing roles in the in development, fact-based comedy TAG BROTHERS.
Based on Russell Adams’ article “It Takes Planning, Caution To Avoid Being ‘It’”, the film is based on the true story of childhood friends who continue a nationwide game of tag well into their forties. Mark Steilen is writing the script and will produce with Todd Garner. If they sign on to the film, Ferrell and Black will play two of the friends.
Ferrell is currently in production on the highly anticipated comedy sequel “Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues” and will next appear in “The Internship” alongside Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson. He is repped by CAA.
Recently Black starred in the comedies “Bernie” and “The Muppets” and will next featured in a pair of documentaries – Laura Kightlinger’s “Sixty Spins Around the Sun” and “D Tour: A Tenacious Documentary”, centering on his rock band Tenacious D with Kyle Gass. Black is repped by WME.
