Sony Pictures’ HOLMES & WATSON starring Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly continues to round out its cast as they add Kelly Macdonald, Rebecca Hall, and Rob Brydon. The film puts a comedic spin on the classic sleuthing duo.
Macdonald has been cast as Mrs. Hudson the housekeeper at 221B Baker Street, while Brydon will play Scotland Yard head Inspector Lestrade. Hall is set as Dr. Grace Hart, the first female doctor to practice in London. The trio join previously cast Lauren Lapkus, who will play a potential love interest for Ferrell.
The film is written and directed by Etan Cohen, with Mosaic and Gary Sanchez producing.
Macdonald recently finished production on the untitled A.A. Milne biopic starring Dohmnall Gleeson and Margot Robbie and was seen in Black Mirror‘s episode “Hated in the Nation.” Macdonald is repped by ICM and Independent Talent Group in the UK.
Hall is currently receiving Oscar-buzz for playing the title role in Christine opposite Michael C. Hall. She most recently appeared in Steven Speilberg’s The BFG. Hall is repped by WME and Julian Belfrage Associates in the UK.
Brydon was most recently seen in The Huntsman 2, Cinderella, and The Trip. Brydon is repped by Mosaic and United Agents in the UK.
