Director Tom McCarthy, whose critically-applauded film “Win Win” is just releasing across America has begun talks to board the indie dramedy BOBBY BLUE SKY starring Topher Grace, Paul Rudd and Kristen Wiig. The project, which is written by Emily Kapnek, who recently saw her pilot “Suburgatory” picked up by ABC, centers on three siblings who are dealing with the accidental fame of their baby brother, after one of their father’s characters in his best-selling children’s book series is based upon him. That logline, with that cast… well, I think I’m already ready to line up for a ticket. McCarthy’s upcoming helming slate is clear, though he is penning the romantic comedy “Glory Days” for Paramount, and is doing a rewrite on the feel good sports project “One Million Dollar Arm” for Disney.
McCarthy is repped by Gersh.
