Taylor Sheridan, the writer behind Sicario, is making his feature debut with WIND RIVER and has found his leads in Jeremy Renner and Elizabeth Olsen.
The film follows Cory who works for the Fish and Game Department as a hunter of coyotes and other predators. Suffering after the death of his teenage daughter, he stumbles upon the raped body of a teenage girl frozen in the woods. A rookie FBI agent enlists Cory to help her find those responsible.
Thunder Road, Film 44, and Savvy Media Holdings are producing through Basil Iwanyk, Peter Berg, and Matthew George respectively, alongside Acacia Filmed Entertainment. Elizabeth Bell, Star Thrower Entertainment, and Riverstone Pictures are executive producing with the later co-financing with Acacia.
Renner most recently starred in last year’s Avengers: Age Of Ultron and Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation. Olsen, who also starred in Avengers, will next be seen in I Saw The Light opposite Tom Hiddleston.
Renner is repped by CAA and Untitled Entertainment. Olsen is repped by Gersh and Brillstein Entertainment.
