Liev Schreiber, Rebecca Hall, Diego Luna, Cherry Jones and Baywatch breakout Kelly Rohrbach have joined the cast of Woody Allen’s new movie, which will be released in theaters by Amazon Studios, it was announced Monday.
Plot details are being kept under wraps, but no matter where the story goes, the film is off to a good start, as I love the ensemble that Allen has assembled. He’s always had a knack for casting.
For example, Kate Winslet isn’t the only one drawing Oscar buzz for Allen’s next film, Wonder Wheel, which arrives in select theaters on Dec. 1. No, James Belushi is also earning awards buzz, and the Coney Island-set drama doesn’t even premiere until October at the New York Film Festival. Justin Timberlake and Juno Temple co-star in that film, which is set in the ’50s and includes larger-than-life characters, lovers, infidelity, and gangsters.
Luna is coming off Rogue One and is slated to star in Universal’s Scarface remake. Schreiber and Hall recently starred in the indie films Chuck and The Dinner, respectively, while you can also catch Schreiber on the Showtime series Ray Donovan.
