Woody Allen has partnered with rising digital network Amazon Studios for the upcoming UNTITLED WOODY ALLEN PROJECT, his first TV series in his long career. Amazon has ordered a full season of the half-hour comedy series, which sees Allen writing and directing. The logline of the series is still under wraps, as is any casting information, but we expect to see some big names attached to a project from the four-time Oscar winner.
Groundbreaking and exciting series are coming Amazon and the other digital networks. Amazon Studios just picked up two Golden Globe Awards for its new series Transparent, which stars Jeffrey Tambor. The drama follows a Los Angeles family and their lives following the discovery that father Mort (Tambor) is transgender. Amazon also recently premiered the dramatic comedy Mozart in the Jungle from Roman Coppola, Jason Schwartzman, and Paul Weitz.
Allen is repped by ICM and MBST.
