Your Complete Guide to 2018 TV Premieres

While most people may be planning for the holidays, television fanatics know it’s time to look a little bit further out and start updating our television schedules! Every year the networks introduce more new series at midseason, bury cult hits, and make tweaks to their earlier fall decisions. In the case of The CW, which may utilize midseason changes than any of the other major networks, they’re trying something completely different. They’ve decided to have Supergirl finish out its third season and shift Legends of Tomorrow into that Monday night slot while Supergirl takes a break in order to make room for their latest DC offering, Black Lightning, on Tuesday nights.

The first week back from the holidays is a busy one for television as well! Ryan Murphy will debut his newest series, 9-1-1, on FOX following a new season of The X-Files, and Showtime is already getting people pumped for The Chi, from Emmy winner Lena Waithe, as they dropped the pilot for free online ahead of its January premiere. Airing opposite The Chi‘s timeslot debut is also the kick-off of awards season with the 75th Annual Golden Globes will air on NBC.
