Wish I Was Here actor and director Zach Braff has signed on to helm BUMP by screenwriters Ori Guendelman and Rob McClelland. The script for the dark comedy made quite the impression on the market landing on the Blood List, Hit List, Black List as well as the Young and Hungry List in 2015.
The project will be set up at Working Title with Tim Bevan and Eric Fellner on board as producers. Liza Chasin will serve as the executive producer while Joahanna Byer will oversee.
The film centers on a young lawyer named Thomas after an accidental hit and run during the single most important night of his life. A series of absurd events star to unravel over the span of one night as he attempts to dispose of a corpse that turns out to be far more than an innocent victim.
Braff recently directed the crime comedy Going in Style starring Morgan Freeman and Michael Caine which is expected to hit theaters next year. He also appears in James Franco’s upcoming adaptation of John Steinbeck’s In Dubious Battle.
Bump is the first feature script from Guendelman and McClelland.
