Zachary Quinto Has An Appointment With “Hannibal” Season 3


has signed on to star in at least one episode on the upcoming third season of NBC’s critically acclaimed horror series, . The Star Trek and Heroes star will be playing a patient of Dr. Bedelia Du Maurier (Gillian Anderson).

Season three will draw ever closer to Thomas Harris’ Red Dragon novel with the inclusion of Richard Armitage as Francis Dolarhyde (aka. The Tooth Fairy)

Other newcomers include Rutina Wesley as Reba McClane and Nina Arianda as Molly Graham. Joe Anderson will step in to portray the disfigured psychopath Mason Verger, who was previously portrayed by Michael Pitt.

The series stars Hugh Dancy, Mads Mikkelsen, Caroline Dhavernas, Hettienne Park, Laurence Fishburne, Scott Thompson, and Aaron Abrams. The series was created by Bryan Fuller, who serves as showrunner.

The series, which explores the that proceeded the Red Dragon novel and Hannibal Lector’s incarceration, will return this summer on NBC.

Quinto is familiar with both Fuller and horror television, as previously worked with Fuller when he was writing for Heroes and appeared in two seasons of American Horror Story. Quinto currently stars on another NBC series, The Slap, which is airing presently. He most recently starred in the rom-com We’ll Never Have Paris. He’ll next star in Oliver Stone’s Snowden and I Am Michael, opposite James Franco. He’ll also return for Star Trek 3.
