If this cool weather has been too much for you, then take a seat next to Zero Gravity and Abrams Artists as they warm up next to their new, red hot spec IMAGINARY from writer Robert Dean Klein.
The spec, which went wide to producers last week, follows three high school seniors from a small town who discover they all had the same imaginary friend when they were kids. Things escalate when they learn that this friend has returned and he’s not here to play.
Klein has been keeping busy, as he was recently hired by Micha Sparks to pen 2Liv, a horror-drama which now has Jackie Earle Haley attached to direct. He’s previously been hired by Michael Douglas to write Franklin Square followed by Death of Me. In total, Klein currently has eight produced feature films including Dark Ride, The Coverup, A Good Night to Die, and 2012’s cult hit Frenemy.
Representing Klein are Ryan Levee of Abrams Artists Agency and Joe Riley of Zero Gravity Management. The traction this project is getting is far from imaginary and we’ll see how things shake out as producers are taking the project into major territories now.
