Zoey Deutch has landed the female lead opposite William Hurt, Tyson Ritter and Wyatt Russell in MIDNIGHT RIDER: THE GREGG ALLMAN STORY. The story will chronicle the life of Gregg Allman, one of the founders of the hit rock group “The Allman Brothers Band.” Deutch will play a groupie who eventually becomes a love interest to Allman.
Randall Miller will direct from a script he co-wrote with Jody Savin. Both will also produce.
Deutch was last seen in “Beautiful Creatures” and will next appear in “Vampire Academy.” I guess she’s sticking to the YA field.
