2015 Launch Pad Pilot Competition Semi-Finalist Brian Shin has signed with manager Alex Creasia of Dialed-In Entertainment. Shin’s original pilot LEGACY blew away this year’s judges, standing out as one that combined thrilling, stylish storytelling with serious commercial potential.

Legacy centers on an ex-NBA superstar who is suddenly thrust into the head coaching position of the Chicago Bulls, where he must navigate a maelstrom of blackmail, gambling addiction, public hatred, disgruntled players–and a reckless son who undeservedly landed a spot on his dad’s team.

Shin was born and raised in Ann Arbor, Michigan, where after graduating from the University of Michigan, he worked as a beat writer covering high school football while writing for the Asian-American pop-culture magazine ‘Koream’. In 2014, he wrote for the CBS Diversity Showcase’s live theater sketch show.

Shin currently works as a writer’s assistant for the Fox sitcom Grandfathered, and provides color commentary for the high-stakes poker show, Live at the Bike. He’s hard at work on a new script, a dramedy set in Atlantic City with the tone of Master of None.

Congratulations again to Brian Shin, who marks the 109th Launch Pad alum to land representation in just two years!
