Weekend Box Office (05.13.13) — “Iron Man” Proves To Be Greater Than “Gatsby”

“Iron Man 3” holds onto the top slot, with almost no real competition. “Gatsby” debuted to the second slot to nice 51 million, but it was a clear 20 million drop from Tony Stark. “Pain and Gain” continues to hang in there dropping to third place pulling in just over 5 million, which isn’t great but for that movie it’s not too bad. “Peeples” debuted as well, but to a measly 4.8 million. Assuming it’s budget was modest this might not be a total dealbreaker.
