A hearty congratulations to Launch Pad Alum Alan Baxter, who is the latest writer to find success through the competitions, having signed with Brad Rosenfeld of Abrams Artists Agency and Adrian Garcia of Recon Literary!
Described as Breaking Bad meets Ozark, Baxter’s pilot LOST EDEN CANYON made it to the Top 50 in the 2018 Launch Pad Pilots Competition. The story follows a man who must turn to robbing luxury boats on an Arizona lake in order to pay for a lifesaving surgery that his daughter desperately needs. The exciting heist and unique setting made this pilot stand out for our readers, as a cinematic and fast-paced story with high stakes.
Originally from Valencia, CA, Baxter found himself in sunny Orange County where he earned a degree in Film and Television Production from Chapman University. He has since gone on to be a finalist in the Final Draft Big Break Contest, appeared on The Black List’s ‘Top Pilot’ list, and took first place at ITVFest and second place at Slamdance. We can’t wait to see what Baxter has coming up next.
