“Star Wars” Tribute to Carrie Fisher Will Leave You in a Puddle of Tears (VIDEO)

It’s been a little over three months since the passing of Carrie Fisher and the devastating loss is still reverberating throughout pop culture — especially with the legions of diehard Star Wars fans. During the annual “Star Wars Celebration” in Orlando, Fisher’s Star Wars family gave a special goodbye to the legendary actress with a special video that is sure to get you a little — no — a lot misty-eyed.

Fisher’s daughter Billie Lourd made a moving speech about her mother during the celebration saying, “In our world, Star Wars became a religion and a way of life. I wanted to be here with you because I know you feel the same way.” In addition, a panel that featured Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill, Hayden Christensen, and Billy Dee Williams had the opportunity to share their personal memories of the actress and writer. Fortunately, fans will have the opportunity to see Fisher one more time in the role of Leia in the upcoming The Last Jedi, which she filmed before she died in December.

The video, which was screened at the celebration marking the 40th anniversary of the franchise, not only features never-before-seen footage of Fisher as the iconic Princess Leia but also captures Fisher’s outgoing and infectious personality. The footage is not only strong with the Force but with the feels as well.
