Lead and support all phases of animated series development, from concept through pilot production. Provide thoughtful, constructive feedback on pitches, scripts, animatics, storyboards, casting, music, and mixes.
Animated Series
Manage calendars for supervising producer including scheduling and confirming meetings both internally and externally. Help manage production calendar including liaising with executives, talent and other assistants internally and externally.
Prepare script pages alongside Script Coordinator for all scratch and/or professional voice recordings, and take notes in sessions if needed. Track all outstanding notes discussed in Editorial Reviews.
Track progress of departments through various tracking software. Maintains and tracks the status of their respective episodic or department schedules. Update Production Manager and Line Producer with current department statuses/issues.
Extensive reading and script coverage. Learning the basics of the production pipeline for 11 minute and 22 minute series. Shadowing executives at all relevant meetings, notes sessions, board pitches, and screenings.
Partner with the Head of Story and participate in all requested preproduction meetings pertaining to the episodes they are directing.
Create and maintain distribution system for all scripts and script elements from premise to final draft. Liaise with Series Producer/Head Writers/Script Writers to track all relevant information pertaining to incoming scripts.
Coordinate with the writing teams to ensure that draft versions of scripts are working within series limits and production assumptions. Attend or audit voice records, as needed, or as requested by the EPs, to ensure constancy of character, and also to enable a single voice representing the production to be present when needed.
Responsible for the day-to-day workings of the leader(s) supported and will be part of the team who oversee the “soup to nuts” production of multiple animated series that are the lifeblood of the Disney Junior channel.
Directly supports the head of post production and the rest of the team as needed. Scheduling, Agenda Management, and note taking at all team meetings.
Establishes a good working relationship with the SPA creative team, Show Directors, Line Producer, Key Leads and including but not limited to BA, Legal, Finance, Recruiting, Facilities, P&O, Technology, Operations and Post.
Assisting the Content team, organizing and centralizing all creative information, including tracking and contact documents.
