Films

Duties would include printing scripts, making teas, setting up rooms for meetings and writers rooms, setting up conference calls, looking after talent, running errands, ordering stationery, research tasks, booking travel, assisting with social media posts, organisation of digital wrap files and the production archive.

Responsibilities include managing schedules, rolling calls, overseeing submissions, analyzing screenplays, films, and books, maintaining director/writer/actor lists, and handling general office duties.

Initiating ideas for films and developing creative treatments across a wide range of subjects both domestic and international. Setting up shoots and dealing with logistics / schedules.

Perform script analysis/breakdowns for sets, cast, locations, and sequence costs. Cultivate relationships and keep current on Head of Department availabilities for upcoming productions. Develop initial in-house production schedules.

Work directly with and assist the Production Executive to coordinate all features associated with the Production Executive’s office from strategic planning, and pre-production through the wrap of physical production.

Manage submissions, coordinate responses, and delegate reads internally. Read 15+ scripts per week and watch 5+ directing samples in search of commercial projects and talent to make films and TV series at a variety of levels.

Work directly with and assist the production executive to coordinate all Features associated with the production executive’s office from strategic planning, and pre-production through the wrap of Physical Production.

Between May 1st and May 31st, we tracked 1 spec script and 1 book rights being taken out.  This is a considerable drop from last month as well as compared to the same time last year, when we followed 16 specs going out on the town.
