Gaiman will exec. produce the series under his multi-year exclusive deal with FremantleMedia following the success of the Starz series American Gods based on Gaiman’s novel.

The long-running superhero series was created by Busiek with artists Alex Ross and Brent Anderson back in 1995 with Busiek co-writing the proposed series pilot with Rick Alexander.
