NBC has found the next Tracy Turnblad for their upcoming Hairspray Live with Maddie Baillio. The newcomer was chosen from a group of over a thousand in an open casting call.
Jennifer Hudson, Derek Hough, and Martin Short have signed on for NBC’s Hairspray Live!. The TV event takes place in 1962 Baltimore and follows Tracy Turnblad, who wins a role on TV and becomes a celebrity overnight and meets a colorful array of characters.
