A jaded reality TV producer, desperately trying to go mainstream, is sent to the small town of Nixon Falls to investigate a possible “monster sighting.” While there, he discovers a local wishing well that may or may not actually work. Seizing the opportunity, he wishes for his dream job, only to discover that in order for his own wish to come true, he must first fulfill a handful of wishes belonging to members of the town. With the help of an outcast 12-year-old girl, he reluctantly attempts to “grant” these wishes, and in the process discovers that life’s not always about getting what we want, but what we need.
