Thunder Road Pictures has snapped up the high-powered action thriller Smoke On The Water from scribes Trey Callaway and Rick Parks–a project which could prove to be the launch of a new blockbuster franchise.

Logline kept under wraps, but the story is set in the world of offshore boat racing, open water drug smuggling and the U.S. Coast Guard–exploring the “nautical narcotic highway” from Cuba to Key West.
