Motion Picture
Assist with various stages of Development, Prep, Production, and Post Production. Work on various Research and Development projects including crafting set lists, script comparisons, pulling images, acquiring location packages from films commissions, etc.
Support the implementation and administration of new and existing programs, developing business attraction and support, to enhance and grow the motion picture and television production industries, post-production industries, theater industries and relevant tech and media industries across NYS.
Act as an integral part of the support team to organize and track relevant changes in the industry and public sector. Manage and coordinate the tasks, calendar, and operations for the team and leadership. Develop and implement strategies for office operations.
Proofread, attach exhibits, manage and arrange for execution and distribution of agreements, including use of document management databases.
Assisting attorneys by doing research, proofreading and some drafting. Participating in business and leadership development sessions.
Prepare agendas, memos, research, and reports for the Creative Group. Handle script and coverage requests for the Story Dept. Read development scripts & writing samples as requested/needed.
Assist in the creation and editing of written, video, and photo content. Attend events and produce live social media content.
Beyond general Assistant duties, there are opportunities to take on Creative responsibilities in development.
Ideal candidates will not be afraid of a heavy workload in a fast pace environment and supporting strong personalities.
Reviews and responds to Creative script, IP and Book submissions. Generates and distributes coverage and synopses.
Evaluate permit and issue required Motion Picture/Television and Still Photography permits including but not limited to official permit form, application fee and maintenance of applicable records utilizing the agency’s computer system.
Writing coverage for Film and Television scripts, books, and plays.
The Motion Picture Literary Coordinator is a crucial position which requires an individual to work well within a team and be prepared for a fast-paced and detail-oriented environment.
Supervise all 3 SFTV theaters including, but not limited to the scheduling and maintenance of theater/projection facilities.
