Last night at the Sundance Night Before Next event at the Ace Hotel, Nate Parker announced that the cast, crew, and producers of his upcoming film Birth of a Nation will be starting a fellowship with the Sundance Institute.

Ever since Nate Parker received an outstanding ovation for his directorial debut of The Birth of a Nation at Sundance, he has been a buzzworthy filmmaker — and Legendary Pictures jumped at the chance to work with him. The production company recently acquired an original film idea from him which he will write, direct, and produce.
