Create or adapt original story concepts and develop them through research and the writing of overviews, outlines, treatments, scripts, and show information guides under the guidance of a senior member of the Story Development team and project teams.

Reading scripts, screening films, and tracking creative materials for production and development consideration. Evaluating all creative material and making recommendations to senior management team based on sellable concepts and IP.

Translate beat sheets and outlines into full-length 15-20 page scripts, capturing the essence of the story and characters. Develop dialogue, scene descriptions, and action sequences that effectively convey the intended message and emotional impact.

Experience in both development and current programming and can provide strong, astute notes on outlines, scripts and cuts.  Writing ability a key for notes document process.

Analyze and breakdown scripts to identify strengths and weakness. Make recommendations of the commercial impact and quality of screenplays/scripts to be optioned and those that are in development.

Finds writers for series development, series staffing and Streaming development projects. Works closely with writers to develop pitches, write outlines and give story and script notes.

This role will be responsible for creating visual assets, including videos, graphics, and some photo illustrations and spanning across platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and other new emerging social platforms.

The ideal candidate has extensive development experience with the ability to identify strong material and talent and give creative guidance and feedback to top level writers and directors on outlines, scripts, and cuts.

Work with writers to develop story and scripts to help transition each podcast to TV series. Develop innovative story approaches and thematic arcs to help transition podcasts into TV/Film.

You will help develop and produce across a wide range of IP and content formats (e.g. Animation, live-action, puppets, audio content), for YouTube as well as all other major platforms such as Netflix, Amazon, Nickelodeon, Disney, WarnerMedia, PBS, Spotify, Sky, etc.
