It looks like Robert De Niro’s longtime passion project The Comedian is moving forward, tapping Jennifer Aniston to star. Taylor Hackford is directing the drama, with intentions to shoot in early 2016 in New York.
Hackford will now direct the project, which centers on the life of a masterful insult comic played by De Niro. Art Linson penned the drama, with the standup material scripted by notorious insult king and roast-master Jeffrey Ross.
Robert De Niro’s latest passion project is finally moving forward, with Mike Newell at the helm. Sources confirm that the long-gestating project is a go, with production eyed to begin this november.
