{THINGS WE LOVE} Read Max Landis’ Epic 436-Page “Super Mario World” Script

Practice makes perfect. That’s certainly the case with Max Landis. Slashfilm found something pretty amazing on Landis’ site, maxlandiswrites.com – a 436-page script Landis wrote for Super Mario World, a big screen, seven-hour epic adaptation of the popular video game franchise. Landis penned the script at age 19 when none of us are really at our best. Sure, there are lots of mistakes but the moral of the story is that if at first you don’t succeed, try and try and try again. It certainly worked out for Landis who co-wrote the sci-fi thriller Chronicle with Josh Trank and more recently wrote the scripts for crime drama American Ultra and horror/drama Frankenstein.

Check out the concept art by Darren Calvert below and if you have a few free days, download the script here.
