CONGRATULATIONS TO LAUNCH PAD FINALIST DANIEL TURKEWITZ – NOW SIGNED & SOLD!

Congratulations to LAUNCH PAD COMPETITION finalist Daniel Turkewitz, who has (in one week) signed with Brooklyn Weaver and his Energy Entertainment, and sold his Launch Pad finalist script TRANQUILITY BASE to Twentieth Century Fox for Ridley Scott to produce.

Weaver, who discovered the project as a judge in the Launch Pad Competition, signed Turkewitz last week, and managed to get a mid-six-figure preemptive buy from Fox for Ridley Scott to produce days later. The script, which has now slipped under the “kept under wraps” premise is being pitched as a high concept sci-fi drama. And, obviously with it being a finalist here, and all of our staff having read these scripts, I can confirm that without a doubt. Ridley Scott, Michael Schaefer, Mike Pruss, Jonathan Krauss, Rock Shaink and Weaver will produce.

Turkewitz marks the first writer signed from our first annual contest, and the first script sold. We’re thrilled for Daniel, and excited to see what he does next!
