Fran Kranz Goes Wandering In The “Mojave”


“The Cabin in the Woods” star has landed a role in William Monahan’s . He will star alongside Oscar Isaac, Garrett Hedlund, Louise Bourgoin and Walton Goggins in the Atlas Independent financed crime-thriller.

The story centers on suicidal artist Tom (Isaac), who wanders into the Mojave Desert in search of answers to a life crisis he is currently experiencing. Instead of answers though, he finds a homicidal doppelgänger. Kranz is set to appear as the fun-loving post-production assistant to Tom.

Monahan is helming from a script he also penned. In addition to directing and writing, he’ll also produce the project alongside William Green.

Kranz is best known for his role as Marty in Drew Goddard’s horror-comedy “The Cabin in the Woods” and as Claudio in Joss Whedon’s “Much Ado About Nothing.” He’ll be back on the silver screen this year in “The Truth About Lies”, “Lust for Love” and Torrie Catalano’s short “Seasick Sailor.” He’ll also be appearing in Gillian Greene’s “Murder of a Cat” next year.
