Penned and directed by “Mad Men” creator Matthew Weiner, the story centers on a playboy bachelor who doesn’t believe in relationships, and his neurotic best friend, who after seeing his father’s death, decides it’s time for them both to go on a journey to discover who they are, and to find relationships they can ground themselves in. Owen Wilson and Zach Galifianakis star as the best friends at the center of the journey. Amy Poehler will star as Galifianakis’ character’s sister.
Gretsch comes into the mix as Poehler’s husband.
The thesp has seen his career largely transpire on the television circuit where he has been a part of shows such as “The 4400”, “CSI: New York” and “The Playboy Club”. Film-wise he starred in Steven Spielberg’s “Minority Report” and most recently in 2009’s “Push”.
Weiner will produce with Keith Addis, Scott Hornbacher, Gary Gilbert and Jordan Horowitz.
