Warner Bros. has released a new teaser trailer (and poster) for FANTASTIC BEASTS: THE CRIMES OF GRINDELWALD, the sequel to Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, the Harry Potter spin-off written by author J.K. Rowling that grossed over $800 milion worldwide in 2016.
Eddie Redmayne is back as magizoologist Newt Scamander along with Katherine Waterston, Dan Fogler, Alison Sudol and Ezra Miller, as the story shifts to Paris following the capture of Johnny Depp’s Dark Wizard Gellert Grindelwald (Depp) by the Magical Congress of the United States of America (MACUSA) at the end of the last movie.
But more importantly, the teaser trailer introduces Jude Law as the younger Professor Aldus Dumbledore, the beloved character from the Harry Potter books and movies that was played by Richard Harris and then Michael Gambon.
David Yates, who directed the “back half” of the Harry Potter movies and the first Fantastic Beasts film, is back for its sequel that is produced by David Heyman, Rowling, Steve Kloves and Lionel Wigram.
Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Gindelwald hits theaters on November 16.
