The film is being helmed by Richard Lagravenese, who was last in the director’s chair for 2007’s “Freedom Writers” and centers on two high school lovers who must confront a curse that has haunted the girl’s family for generations. The film already boasts a large cast that sports Alden Ehrenreich and Alice Englert in the lead roles as well as Jeremy Irons, Viola Davis, Emma Thompson, Emmy Rossum and Thomas Mann.
Gallner will appear as Rossum’s character’s younger brother. Gallner is coming off a leading role in 2010’s drama “Beautiful Boy” and has a number of recently wrapped films in the lineup including “Smashed”, “Magic Valley” and “Losers Take All”.
Erwin Stoff, Broderick Johnson, Andrew Kosove and Molly Smith will be producing.
