The latest trailer for the seven-part limited Netflix series GODLESS is here. The series follows the story of an outlaw named Frank Griffin (Jeff Daniels) and his gang of bandits who are looking to hunt down Roy Goode (Jack O’Connell).
The Western drama is based in a mining town run by a lot of bad-ass women who have a lot of guns and aren’t afraid to use them. Throw that in with Jeff Daniels doing whatever needs to be done, it looks like a promising series.
Creator Scott Frank originally wanted Godless to be a film, but couldn’t get the financing. Quickly after Netflix swooped in and pitched it as a TV series. With Steven Soderbergh being a co-creator on the project, I hope it’s a strong mini-series. The seven-episode series is using the tagline “Welcome To No Man’s Land.” and the latest trailer definitely shows audiences why.
The official synopsis reads: Godless is a seven-part Netflix limited series from Steven Soderbergh and Scott Frank, written and directed by Scott Frank, starring Jack O’Connell, Michelle Dockery, and Jeff Daniels. Frank Griffin, an outlaw terrorizing the 1880s American West, hunts down Roy Goode, his partner turned enemy. Roy hides out at a ranch as Frank’s chase leads him to La Belle, New Mexico – a town mysteriously made up entirely of women.
Godless streams on Netflix November 22, watch the trailer below.
