Launch Pad alum Brandon Martin has signed with Stephan Dubreuil of Woolf+Lapin. His feature script SLAMMIN’ landed in the Top 50 of last year’s Launch Pad Feature Competition.

Pitched as Bridesmaids meets A League of Their Own, Martin’s script focuses on two struggling actresses in the 1980s who join the first all-female pro wrestling league. Readers loved the script’s perfect blend of homage to and teasing of the sport and picture it as an easy project to pitch to any number of comediennes today.

After a music career that included such highlights as an American Music Award nomination, touring the country multiple times, and discussing hair-care products with Dick Clark, Martin moved to Los Angeles to pursue a much more practical career: screenwriting. Since then, he’s optioned projects to The Weinstein Company, National Lampoon, and has written webisodes for the network show, Suburgatory. Martin currently has several TV and film projects in various stages of completion/development, many of which come directly from his experiences as an almost-almost-famous musician.

Based in Montreal and founded by Dubreuil and Sonya Gauthier, Woolf+Lapin is an international agency that represents talents in fields of motion picture, television, and digital. They have executed shoots for a variety of companies and talents like Nike, DisneyPixar, Katy Perry, Arcade Fire, Cirque du Soleil, and more.

The Launch Pad Feature Competition is currently accepting entries for its 2017 Competition.
