Luke Evans Revves Up For “Fast Six”

Universal has an offer out to to start in the latest installment in the “Fast & Furious” franchise .

Details about the plot are being kept under wraps, but if he accepts the offer, Evans will replace Jason Statham in some sort of villainous role. Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, Dwayne Johnson, Michelle Rodriguez, and Tyrese Gibson are all set to reprise their roles in the Justin Lin-helmed action flick. Gina Carano and Rihanna are also in talks to join the cast. Chris Morgan is writing the script.

Diesel is producing with Neal Moritz.

Evans, who will be seen playing Bard the Grim in Peter Jackson’s “The Hobbit,” most recently appeared opposite John Cusack in the Edgar Allen Poe thriller, “The Raven.” He has also been featured in Ridley Scott’s “Robin Hood,” “Clash of the Titans,” and “Immortals.”
