Norwegian author Jo Nesbø has established himself as a popular writer of crime-thrillers, having written eleven books featuring Norwegian detective Harry Hole. The seventh Harry Hole book THE SNOWMAN — co-written with Don Bartlett –has been turned into a movie starring Michael Fassbender as the detective. Now thanks to the production house Working Title Films, we can watch the first international trailer for the thriller, which opens in North America on Oct. 20.
In the movie, Fassbender’s Harry Hole is investigating a series of serial killings where the murderer leaves a snowman at the site of the murders. As Harry gets closer to discovering who is doing the killing, it becomes far more personal.
The movie also stars Rebecca Ferguson (Mission: Impossible) , Chloe Sevigny, Charlotte Gainsbourg, J.K. Simmons, Toby Jones and Val Kilmer.
Previously Nesbø’s book Headhunters was turned into the 2011 film directed by Morten Tyldum (The Imitation Game) and starring Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (Game of Thrones).
