The story centers on Walt Disney’s (Tom Hanks) fourteen year effort to convince “Mary Poppins” author P.L. Travers (Emma Thompson) to sell him the big screen rights to the book. Griffiths will play Travers’ aunt, who ultimately served as the inspiration for the Poppins character and Baker will play one of Disney’s associates. Also starring in the film are Colin Farrell, Ruth Wilson, Paul Giamatti, Jason Schwartzman, BJ Novak and Bradley Whitford.

Alison Owen and Ian Collie will produce for Ruby films.
