When retired curmudgeon Ed Fitzgerald loses his house to the bank and refuses to go into a nursing home, he decides to take a long shot…he posts a flyer and puts himself up for adoption. Unfortunately, everyone in town knows what a miserable pain the ass he is, so there’s only one taker – a venturesome single mother from China with a troubled teenage son. Inspired by a true story.

Screen Shot 2015-04-30 at 3.08.38 PM Kelly Fitzpatrick has never experienced the so-called “luck of the Irish (think Melissa McCarthy/ Kate McKinnon).” Instead, while working sanitation at NYC’s St. Paddy’s Day parade, she embarrassingly runs into the love of her life, who’s engaged to her arch nemesis. However, thanks to her chance exchange with an exceedingly mean man—who claims to be a magical leprechaun—Kelly’s shocked to find he granted her Irish Super powers. She decides to use these powers to reel in the man of her dreams.

Pitched in the vein of “Singin’ In The Rain” and “The Bandwagon”. Story follows a young couple, fans of performers like Frank Sinatra and Gene Kelly, whose courtship starts to resemble a movie musical.
