The “Cult of Chucky” Trailer Has Arrived, So Take Notes “Annabelle” (Video)

“Ade due damballa. Give me the power, I beg of you!

That’s right, folks! Everyone’s favorite killer doll — all apologies to Annabelle — is back in , which is heading straight to DVD/VOD this fall. Sure, the Child’s Play films may not merit theatrical distribution these days, but I don’t care what size screen I see this on, I just want to watch this Good Guy go bad all over again.

Franchise architect Don Mancini writes, directs and executive produces the latest installment, which is the seventh film in a fright franchise that has grown increasingly campy over the years.

This time around, Fiona Dourif (the daughter of Brad Dourif, who voices Chucky) returns as Nica, only this time she’s stuck inside an asylum for the criminally insane, where doctors are convinced that she killed her entire family, not Chucky. When a string of grisly deaths plagues the asylum, only Andy (original Child’s Play star Andy Vincent, whoa!) believes her. Can the two of them stop Chucky and his beloved wife Tiffany (Jennifer Tilly) from killing everyone in Nica’s therapy group?

Find out who lives and who dies on Oct. 3, when Universal Pictures Home Entertainment releases Cult of Chucky as well as Chucky: The Complete 7-Movie Collection. With Halloween right around the corner, the timing couldn’t be any better.

So… are you ready for more mayhem, or is it time to throw this franchise out with the rest of the old toys?
