NBC is not giving up on having a new version of THE MUNSTERS and has put a new reboot into development, Tracking Board has confirmed.
Five years after Byran Fuller attempted to revamp the classic comedy for the network in the form of Mockingbird Lane, the network is now developing a single-camera half-hour reboot of The Munsters from Odd Mom Out creator Jill Kargman, write the script and will executive produce with Sethmaker Shoemeyers Productions’ Seth Meyers and Mike Shoemaker.
Universal TV is the studio.
The new version of The Munsters, inspired by the series that ran on CBS from 1964-1966, will follow the offbeat family determined to stay true to themselves struggles to fit in in hipster Brooklyn.
