Tobey Maguire’s Material Inks Oscar Sharp to Blind Deal

Oscar Sharp has been signed to a blind deal through the development financing arm of Material Pictures. Sharp is the director behind short films like “The Karman Line,” which created a web frenzy and “Sign Language.” Material, run by Tobey Maguire and Matthew Plouffe, is the production company behind “Country Strong.” Among their upcoming projects are “Z for Zachariah” and “The Fifth Wave.”
