Hot TV project 24: LEGACY has cast Corey Hawkins to lead the series as Eric Carter. The potential series has a pilot order with Fox and is rumored to receive a 13-episode order.
The series is a spinoff of previous Fox hit 24 that starred Kiefer Sutherland. It revolves around a military hero’s return to the U.S. and the trouble that follows him back, compelling hi to ask the CTU for help in saving his life, and stopping what potentially could be one of the largest-scale terror attacks on American soil.
Hawkins’s Eric Carter is the military hero. The character had a rough background but turned things around in the Army Rangers.
20th Century Fox TV and Imagine Television are producing in association with Teakwood Lane Productions. Howard Gordon, Manny Coto, Evan Katz, and Brian Grazer are executive producing.
Hawkins had a breakout year in 2015, starring in Straight Outta Compton as Dr. Dre and guest starring on AMC’s The Walking Dead.
