The series follows Sedgwick as Jane Sadler, an overworked television producer and single mother in the middle of a separation, whose life is turned upside down when her young daughter goes missing in the middle of the night. Just like her controversial police TV show, everything is a mystery, everyone has a secret, and no one can be trusted.
Tassie Cameron created the series which is produced by Skydance Television and Sedgwick executive produces. ABC has given the show a ten episode order with production to star next year.
“Playing Jane Sadler is exactly the deep and emotionally charged role I was searching for in a series. I look forward to working with the team at Skydance, who have continuously created exceptional film and TV projects. We are all very excited that Ten Days in the Valley has found its home on ABC,” said Sedgwick.
The actress has previously starred in the TNT drama The Closer and more recently has guest starred in Fox’s police comedy Brooklyn Nine-Nine. She will next be seen in the feature Edge Of Seventeen.
