Steven Knight and Francis Lawrence are teaming up on SEE, a new sci-fi series that has been picked up to series by Apple.
The logline is being kept under wraps, but the series, which will likely consist of at least eight episodes, is described as being set in the future and involves “epic” world-building.
The project hails from Chernin Entertainment and Endeavor Content, with Peter Chernin, Jenno Topping and Kristen Campo also serving as executive producers alongside Knight, who is writing, and Francis, who will direct.
See marks the fourth high profile scripted series pickup for Apple, who is jumping into the premium TV pool with a huge splash. In addition to this project, the tech giant has also ordered a drama set in the world of morning news starring Reese Witherspoon and Jennifer Aniston, an Amazing Stories remake from Bryan Fuller and a space drama from Ronald D. Moore.
Still unclear, however, is how any of these highly-anticipated series will be distributed to audiences.
